SA series vs 1500 series

I can't say for sure which I would take. I can say though, to think that the 1500 or 2500 is not musical just shows the narrow range of what YOU have heard or read. I have built various systems for DD users and even had a hand in a few other toys and DD subs play low and sound very clean when used in a good enclosure.

However, the price is what normally gets to everyone. Hard to say it is worth the asking price in most cases.

I could post a video of a 1512 I suppose. The woman has one in her car on a little cheapy amp. Sounds great in her application, really needs more power to get loud but that is not what she wanted.

Dman could tell you how it sounds. That was the car we took to Heatwave a few weeks ago.

OH really? I can only assume you were speaking to me, as I mentioned the SA being more musical than the DD. I never said the DD wouldn't play music I said the SA was "more" musical. So YOU need to go and re-read the post, and don't judge what I "have heard or read". I have had DD 15, 25, 95, 99, and 99z series subs I have also had Sundown SA, and Nightshade series sub and I say that IMO the SA is a much more musical sub.

i was just asking advice on wether to run my dd1508 or my sa-8 on 800-900rms and im getting alot of different answers. I personally love both, and all i can comment on is that my sa-8 hits lower then the 1508 but at times can get a little stinky and then the dd wangs all the time but never gets stinky but then again doesnt sound like it has the lows there as much as the SA. Either way i cant knock either, ive had so many ppl get in and listen to either or depending on which ones in at the time and blow their goose that its only 1 8" sub lolololololol

I have no reason to reread what your wrote. I read it the first time. Just because you have had a few subs means nothing. Want me to list all the subs I have owned and/or tested, it is very very long though. It means absolutely nothing to most though as with anyone else unless we can see/hear the exact setup how do we know you(or anyone for the matter) has the subwoofer(s) in the correct enclosure for the application.

As with any other question regarding car audio, it boils down to personal views and opinions. Nothing more then that, so all this "bickering" is fruitless.

Oh, and btw, the list of subs was to squish the "bickering" about hearsay and if I actually had experiance with them or not. As I to have had and do have a fairly large collection of subs, enough that I get the stink eye from my wife when I mention getting another! LOL!

Actually, every time DD is asked about the same thing seems to be talked about. Which is only talked about with little knowledge and even less experience with the drivers and various applications. You took it as personal. Not my fault what so ever. OH I'm not butt hurt, trust me.

As for outside, I live in the Cayman Islands, and outside is pretty much all you can do. I would argue the fact of it being hotter here as I am closer to the equator, but fact are facts, and it is crazy hot where you are right now. Sorry about your luck bro.
