S40 Volume Cuts Out at High Volume

I've got a 2004.5 Volvo S40

Headunit - stock

Four Doors - 4 6.5in SoundStream Picasso Series and 4 TWS.4 SoundStream Tweeters

Amps - 1 ASA 200.2x PowerBass hooked up to the door speakers and 1 ASA 400.2x PowerBass hooked up to the sub

Sub - 12in SoundStream T5

The Headunit in these cars are hooked up the thermostat, fan control, etc..

The stock unit also uses optical cable instead of analog wire.

The stock headunit is hooked up to a factory amp by a digital wire in the trunk.

So, I've got my aftermarket amps hooked up to the output on the car amp, since thats the only analog output from the radio that i can get.

btw the sound just completely turns off the headunit stays on and the song will keep playing just no sound.

I have to turn the car off and restart it and then it turns back on. the amps are staying cool as well.

Sounds like a ground issue, check all wires and mahbe a diff set of rcas.
