I've heard that your not supposed to run your main power wire next to RCA's? If true or not, that isn't my question. my quesiton is can I run my speaker wire alongside my power 16ga power wire for about 10 feet? The power wire will only powering some leds by the speakers. Will this cause noise in my speakers?

I havent ever had any problem with even running RCA's next to my speaker wire (which mind you is 0 ga.)
0 guage speaker wire? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

Man id like to see what you run for your POWER wire

Team Duhlusions strikes again!

1/0 awg speaker wire is impressive. Especially on a non-70V sound system. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I wanna see the speaker or sub that will accept 0awg cable, personally. Nothing in my car would (nor can I remotely see the necessity for it!)

Jacko - you ought to be fine, bud. Have at it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

How long is this going to go on... I reallly hope you all realize he probobally made a typo... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

Is it best to run the remote power line on the same side as the rca's or on the power side?

I assumed it would be on the power side, but the video on the Crutchfield site says to run it down the same side as the rca's.

Some interconnects have a wire that lies in-between the two sides of the RCAs that is meant to serve as the remote turn-on feed. My Fosgate Stealth Twisteds has one. Does no good, really, if the terminal for remote activation on your amp is on the opposite end as the RCA inputs!

As the remote turn-on output on your head unit is such a low amperage feed I really don't think it would make a huge difference either way but I ran mine along with the power cabling on one side and the three sets of interconnects are on the opposite side of the car.

Oh, OK. I have a Scosche rca that has that too, but I didn't realize what it was for. Does that mean I can use the remote turn-on wire from my amp installation kit as the constant power wire for the deck (my truck didn't have one) or is it not big enough wire?
