Running speaker wire next to power.

Some interconnects have a wire that lies in-between the two sides of the RCAs that is meant to serve as the remote turn-on feed.
Actually its meant for grounding to reduce noise... some retarded brands actually say to use it as a remote turn on, thats what most people who dont know the real purpose for it usually do anyways...

Yup, (now that I've checked) that's exactly what it says on the back of this package. "EFX-2 audio cables are constructed of 99.95% pure OFHC copper and have a built-in amp trigger lead."
