Ok so i have 2 kicker cvr 2005 and one of the subs voice coil is broke because if i just hook up that voice coil there is no sound at all. So me and my friend hooked up parrel so both subs Are going at same time just one is using both voice coil and the other is using one. It is powered by a kicker zx750 mono amp. So my question is is this bad for it? And if it is can it be' fixed if so how much do you think? Or could i just put a 2010 kicker cvr or would that make it sound different?

Its not going to destroy and blow up your sub fi you run it on 1 vc, but in doing so you change your t/s perameters and your power handeling is reduced. And im sure your amp is seeing some funky ohm load now so ditch the crippled cvr and buy another.

You might as well be running two totally different subs. Bad idea.

Do a continuity test on the 'broken' coil to verify its blown.

Reconing a CVR is not worth the money/time/hassle. Its in the category of 'disposable speaker'.

If the 2005 and 2010 CVR's are identical, sure run one of each. But without looking it up, Im betting they are different, see comment #1.
