Well I learned something. And that's at a max 18"s from the battery. And I didn't think about having it connected to a battery on both ends.

I know this- The amp turns D/C from the battery into A/C to the speaker

I hope that's right. I've researched it some but can't really find any specifics like this. Just the wiring for dummies, pretty much.
