*Running Multiple Alternators*

I would go with the isolated circuit. Hi output alt to the battery bank with 1 1/0 charge line. If you have a large enough battery bank you will see no loss, unless you completley discharge the bank and the alt could'nt keep up with the draw.

Im lookn at an excess of 600 amps of draw...
How the hell does meade put 4 alts on his stuff???
If you pay attention when he is demoing he revs his shit pretty high to charge all 7 or 9 batts. He is running 20k worth of power, and 10 alts prob wouldn't keep up with the draw of everything in that truck.

LOL, yea it sound like a lil helicopter goin off..

So your saying one HO? its 265 amps...

Just to the rear 5?

my alts are all in parallel....forget dedicating one just for the car and trying to isolate the other alt for just the system. You may as well take advantage of the extra amperage from the stock alt and mix it in the system. The car will still only take what it needs which isnt much and the rest can go to your beat during heavy demands.

also, theres a new product i just got on friday which helped tremendously and has potential to fix problems like my man ^^^up there not knowing how to hook up the Iraggi alt 4 wire..... its http://www.missinglinkaudio.com and here is my post about the wire harness thing i got from them. The guy who makes it really knows alts and im sure it will solve your problem

.....plus, my battery light that has always came on even when i only had two alts (even with great charge) stopped coming on! If you have dual alts (or more) you know the annoying battery light. Nothing wrong with the charging system but it would still blink. Not any more!

it also "upped" my voltage to 15.3-15.5 per my request (he "flashes" the module for whatever voltage you ask for)....i didnt want to run much more but an extra 1v really helps. At full tilt on the freeway, im dropping down to 14.7-14.8. Not bad for 20,000 watts....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Thankyou for the link. I just called them and talked to Chris, he's checking into what I need. I told them you (Steve Meade) referred me.

cool!! thanks man! i hope your situation works out for you bro! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Thanks steve, your the guy i needed to talk to!!

Some vehicles now a days have PCU's that control the cut in and output voltage. This allows you to pick a higher voltage and make the vehicle charge at a higher voltage. But if you have an externally regulated alternator you can do the same thing, but you have total control your not just stuck with what they program it to.

I would just run them in parallel.

Literally just use a jumper a few inches from alternator1, to alternator 2.

Then run 1-2 runs of 1/0 to the front battery... and however many runs of 1/0 you want to the rear battery.

Don't listen to 90% of the tards in this thread that have never even done it before... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
