finally have pics, I'd say pretty **** good for my first install...

all my wires(knukonceptz) are running under the carpet...completely hidden to passengers. Rca's on the right(due to one set of RCAs not being long enough lol) and speaker wires/4 guage power on the left)

I'd like to hear opinions on how to hide the wires in the trunk! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

I'm running Knukonceptz 4 guage wire throughout...Knu RCA cables(which I already had to re-sodder:mad:) and that IPOD is running directly to the HU, from a cable in the back of my ashtray! pioneer IPOD ready HU ftw!

hope you enjoy...now, help me hide those ****in ugly wires lol!

sounds great! the next step is most definitly second skin in the trunk lol! I'm thinking about putting in a false wall behind the seats...so I can hide the wires, but have a cutout for the SS dist block(ty again stevey)...wonder how that would look:confused:

thats a clean setup, lovin that amp too lol. Looks like it pounds, any vids? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
no videos yet...as of now, i can hear lots of.....metal. and that would be a good thing if i was listening to metallica or slayer, but when I still hear it with luducris and ice cube lol!

needless to say, sound deadening was not on fords list of priorities with this car:D

haha nice to see it pounds, I always feel bad for passengers that have to sit in the back of my jimmy cause the back hatch panel rattles like CRAZY. Luckily I cant hear it at full tilt from the drivers seat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

no ideas on the wires?

i'm going to mount that block onto the back of the box...

those wires need to go somewhere lol, i love how that soundstream lights up at night too much to hide it!

well get some zip ties and some split loom and just cut the wires to length and wrap them in the loom. or build the false wall. or just dont fold the seats down. i get lost everytime i pull my backseat on my thunderbird. my truck is overly neat tho.

Nice install for your first time. Like you have mentioned and others, just try to do something with the wires. Kinda like what Bones mentioned. Me, I would flush mount the amps to the back of the box and make a beauty panel like I did in my cavalier. Came out slick! I would post it, but too lazy to go to my photobucket account right now, lol!

I have a 2006 Ford Focus ST with a pretty slick install. But taking it all out to lay close to 200sqft of fatmat and Second skin deadener. Not looking foward to it!

build a baffle board to mount the amps on and get some computer desk grommets and run the wires through the hole
like my old amp rack

Do you have pictures other than that...hard to get a grasp on what you did with that one...that would look sick...I could put a slot in the back so that dist block could stick through and still hide the wires!

would love to see pics! so, should I just get another sheet of MDF and cut out slots for the amps to make some sort of cover? mount the amps on the back of the sub box...then mount the "cover" on top of that? i was thinking about doing that, leaving the amps on top of the box...then making a skinnier cover so I could leave the block on the back. The amps and dist block didn't all fit on the back of the box...and I love that **** spider when its lit up:cool:

Hold on, I will go and get it for ya. Just my work computer is slow as balls tonight, or else it is this site.

You have the right idea though. Just need to make slots for the amps, which basically is just using measurements. Not all that hard. Really don't need to do MDF for that unless you want too. I just used particle board and covered it with the same carpet that was used on my box to match it up then screwed it in and was a nice flush look. Be right back.
