Running just sub channel off 5 channel amp?

I just bought a Rockford Fosgate Power1000 25-to-Life and a set of components. My question is, since my amp is here but my components are not, can I run just the sub channel off the RF? or do I have to wait to run them all? I just don't want to possible hurt my new amp.
