alright guys think i know what im going to do to upgrade. getting a fi bl 18" dual 1 ohm voice coils and i want to run it at .5 ohm on my sundown saz 1500 what kinda eletrical upgrades will i need? will the big 3 be enough?

no the big 3 will not be enough.....unless your car has a 150amp alt in it....atleast add another battery.preferably in the group 34,31 size

if cost is an issue then maybe you should keep it at 2 ohms until you get more cash.

i got my deka intmidator g31 for only 115 at the factory cause it had a blemish. look around theres plenty of good batts

well i ended up getting the sub but i dont know what ohms the coils are when i measured them at the dudes house it was a lil under 2 on the voltmeter both coils

ok but he said when he hooked it up to 1 ohm off the diagrams on 12volt his amp would cut off he had the hifonics 2000 watt amp so idk unless he just a artart

electrical and fuse size is the problem..i just sold a dual 1 18"fi bl and had a alphasonik pma1000hca to it..decided one day to wire in parallel down to .05 ohm and it played until i got volume past ten than it blew every fuse i had on the power wire..so make sure u do the big 3,extra batt,atleast 150 amp fuses and alot of prayer..sell it and buy a dual 2 than u can go to 1 ohm..i bought a dual 2 18"btl old 3 stack motor and installed today down to 1 ohm and it hitz harder than i ever heard..
