Running 4 channel amp wires

Alright I've never ran speaker wires to a 4 channel amp before

People have been suggesting I cut the wires from the connector in my head unit and run more speaker wire from that to my speakers. That sounds retarded

the most practical one seems to run wires from each speaker to the amp. the problem is running wires from the front ones. How do you run speakers through the door easily.

your care should be already wired with speaker wires to the doors. if you already have an aftermarket HU, you should use the wiring harness you used to wire up your HU to the factory plug.

if u r gonna run wires all the way to the HU just run the wires to the speakers like it should be done

some cars u 20guage or higher wire and if u r running 200rms per side thats not a good idea

just run the wire to the speakers

Yeah but if his 1996 Accord is anything like my 1997 Civic is, those doors are a royal PITA to get wires through without pulling them off and drilling them or custom adding them through the molex plug. I owned several Honda vehicles and I have grown to HATE their Molex plugs with a passion.

same thing with my truck it was a royal pita but i went ahead and ran it through the molex anyway

will it make a big difference if i run it from the harness instead of runnin it from the speakers.

im not going to keep this car forever. but if it sounds better going straight to the speakers, i'll make the effort to do it

im decidin if i want the infinity references rated at 90W RMS or the Phoenix Gold RSD rated at 60W RMS. they are both components

the back will take 100W RMS if i get matchin infinity speakers or phoenix gold 6X9s rated at 50W RMS.

any opinions on those comps?

If you don't want to deal with running new wires through the doors, then cut the factory wire where it comes out of the door and crimp your new wire running to your amp as close to the door as you can get. With only a 1-2 foot length of small guage wire, it won't hurt.

I dont know why people run the wires to up behind the deck. Oh wait... I know. because its the fast and easy way.

God awful for anything of a higher wattage, imo. Sure it may not matter for 16 rms or whatever off the deck, but do it the way it was meant to be done.

Run new better, thicker wires to each speaker from the amp, totally separate of the stock wiring.
