If you have a cheaper headunit, with loiwer preamp line voltage, you could get it, I mean that's a pretty hefty price for something. You could look into something a little cheaper and it would do the same pretty much.

x2, if you want a line driver though they have basic models that are cheaper and just boost voltage without all those settings

4v is plenty. You do not need it.
