Running 2 Amps, RCA Cable Question

Hello, Im running an Rockford Fosgate Punch 325.1 Mono subwoofer amp, powering 2 12" P1's, well, my other 2-channel Boss Chaos amp, for the front speakers, are also being powered.

Well, my question is, should I and what is the best way to run the RCA cable from my second amp (Boss amp), back to the head unit or using the Pass-Thru RCA output from my Rockford amp? Currently, both amps are running off back to the head unit.

Also, my grounds for the amp, they are running to my car chassis under a screw (chassis was sanded down for no paint), and its also has a battery ground running from there to the same chassis point. Is that battery ground needed, bc thats running alot of cable and such. I dont know, Im still learning everything.

the ground from your amp to the ground point should be as short as possible

Yeah, I know it should be short as possible, but its running to the body chassis, which is less than 3 feet, but my friend said running extra wire from the battery to that same chassis point, would help provide a better ground.

What does everyone think? Also, can you help me on the RCA cable question? Thanks.

Running your bass amp from the head unit (if it has a sub level control) will give you the ability to change the sub volume independant of your component speakers.

Oh I see, so if I ran my Boss amp from the Rockford sub amp, it will have limited volume control, etc?

And its better to have it running off its own RCA output from the headunit, is that what you mean?

no need to run the second ground wire to your sub ground point. completely unnecessary

Alright, I got the ground wire issue.

How about the RCA cables? Should they run off the pass-thru from my Rockford Amp to my 2nd amp, or should the 2nd amp (Boss) just use another RCA output from my head unit? As far as I remember, I think it sounds better off the head unit, but I had/need to be sure.
