Running 16 gauge between amp and sub?

found a 1/0 wiring kit that includes: 17' 0 Gauge Translucent Red Primary Wire

3' 0 Gauge Translucent Brown Ground Wire

17' Twisted Pair RCA Interconnects

16' Blue Remote Turn-On Wire

20' Translucent Black 16 Gauge Speaker Wire

Positive Battery Terminal

Genuine ANL Fuse Holder

150 Amp ANL Fuse

3 Gold Plated 0 Gauge Ring Terminals (Red)

3 Gold Plated 0 Gauge Ring Terminal (Black)

2 - 16 Gauge Butt Splice

10 - 4" Cable Ties

Split Loom Tubing

will the 16 gauge be fine running between the amp and sub or will i need some higher gauge wire for that?? I figured this kit is great because its only $40

and I'll pushing around 1K watts to a single 10" if that helps

id do 2 runs if youre going to use the 16, but i like to over do things too

ahh well i can get some 10 AWg for .60 a foot, so i'll just pick up like 5 feet of that stuff and call it good, since even with 10AWG, it'll be the cheapest 1/0 kit i've seen

what brand is it? some 1/0 wire is more like 4ga with a shitload of casing.
