rumbling from subs

got a weird rumbling from subs.

my ipod is unplugged from my head unit and its in aux mode. and i can hear a faint rumble (constant) coming from my subs.

bad ground?

i recently re did all my wiring. rcas remote power ground

sub wiring etc. everything is brand new. even subs are about 3 months old.

i used resin solder for soldering the power and ground wires. im thinking that i have a bad ground.

2007 charger. the battery is in the trunk. i have the amp ground going to battery. never been a problem in the 6 years ive had the car but. maybe i need a better ground?
