I am new at this, couldn't find anything in search. 98 accord 4 door btw.

But, I understand wiring the power etc through the firewall and stuff but how am I suppose to neatly wire and route the speaker cable from the amp to the front speakers nice and neatly?

Amp will be mounted under or around the passenger seat, no rear speakers.

I always run the speaker wire to the back of the cd player with the RCAs and remote wire, and hook into the stock wiring for the front speakers.. seems to be the easiest for me at least.. not deailing with running through the doors.. but that might just be me..

hnm I would do that, but the stock wires ***** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Guess I'll take all the panels apart and see.

Open your car door and you should see a black rubber boot covering the wires going into the door. Find where this opening is in your car. Run the speaker wires underneath the door trim or carpet up to the front of the cabin and into this hole into the door.

Ohh...wait...Accord. You might have plugs that go into the doors. Search the forum for "molex" plugs or something.

i always use the stock wires
That's just lazy. If the impedance of your speaker wire is more than 10% (5% preferably) than the impedance of your speaker then you will get audible effects on frequency response. Using stock wiring, which lengthens the run, is a great way to dramatically increase resistance of the wire.

thanks Xander for the advice, especially on the molex plugs on the doors, got that figured out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'll just route the new speaker wires through the doors, the stock ones are horrible 22+ gauge wires.

I'll check it out thanks

edit: I found the same link last night //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Also, my headunit ( Kenwood KDC128 ) Doesn't have front rca outputs, only rear. I only plan to use 1 set of RSD's for the front anyways, so does it matter if I use the rear outputs to power the front through the amp?

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
