it depends on how much overall port area you have. if you have enough "tube" it shouldnt be any noisier than a slotted

To add a bit more, the only difference will be during the construction process, and the overall design of the box. There is no audible difference between a box with a slot port versus a box with round ports, given that the port area and length is all the same...

areoports look better than slots or pvc. but i would have to say that a slot port looks better than pvc ports. but who cares about looks anyways and who wants to spend 15 dollars on an areoport?

Aeroports are actually a lot different than the standard round or PVC piping port. The flared ends reduce a LOT of turbulence, reducing port noise significantly, ultimately requiring less port area.

But I would agree, $15 is a bit much when you can router off the edges of a PVC pipe and get relatively the same effect.
