Rooster =/= Alarm Clock

Who ever decided this was a good idea? I moved into my new apartment a couple months ago, and its right on the line between being in Tampa, and being in Lutz. So technically, I live in Lutz. The road that the apartment complex is on is pretty rural, even though if you drive 1000ft down the road, you're in a traffic jam in Tampa.

So anyway, across the street from the apartment complex, there is a house that has a rooster. It crows as all hours of the day and night. Its not loud, so I cant hear it unless its quiet, but I thought they were only supposed to crow at sunrise?

Over the last couple weeks Ive heard it crow at 11am, 3pm, 5-7pm, 11pm, and 3am. Whats the deal? Whoever decided that a rooster is a reliable substitute for an alarm clock is a complete moron.

No they'll crow anytime to show other roosters who's boss. I spent a month in South America this summer where those things are everywhere. As soon as one goes off, every single rooster in the town has to prove that he's louder.
