i have a basic understanding and know exactly what i'm looking for, buddy has one and just want same. all links great and had already been to a few of them. As for shipping to dealer, my brother in law works at a gun shop so that no prob i just don't want to buy from him since he's a *****.
probably gonna be picking up a rifle and shotgun with taxes. the rifle is narrowed down to either said AK or possibly a M4. shotgun will be remington or mossberg pump, pistol grip and pistol grip on pump with tactical flash light all black.

liability was only towards him getting in trouble for giving me his discounts. He is super paranoid and doesn't trust me to be responsible with any gun, known me since i was like 9 and can't figure out i'm nearly 22 now. Assualt rifles are legal here and actually only have to be 18 since they are rifles, that has always confused me since you have to be 21 to own pistol grip shotty but can own a decked out AR or AK with no problems when 18.

i know what u mean, when my buddy turned 18 he went out and got a "KEL-TECH SUB RIFLE" or something it was a freakin foldable rifle , basically a big .40 cal pistol with a assult stock and barrel, it was freakin awsome , and i even told the guy @ the pawn shop, your actually gonna let him buy this thing!?

What you are probably looking for is a Romanian SAR-1 which is a semiautomatic built on an AK-47 style receiver chambered in 7.62x39. They also make them in 5.45x39 and .223. Be sure it is not one of the single stack versions (I don't remember who made these things) that won't take standard AK magazines. Another problem I've seen on the few I've handled is that sometimes the front site is canted a bit and not installed at 12 o'clock.

Prices are all over the place on these things as many shops consider anything that looks military as being cast in solid gold. There are deals to be had out there but with all the import bans and the climate currently in the government, they are becoming harder to come by. Cheap military surplus ammo is also getting scarce in places.

Step Two - Saw about a foot or so off the barrels length

\You can own AR`s in Cali.Just it has to have a per. attached flah hider/muzzle break and you can only have 10rd mags.and i dont think it can have the bayo lugs ..basickly no pre-bans

If you have a detachable magazine on a rifle in California it is considered an assault weapon if it also has a pistol grip, thumbhole stock, folding stock, grenade or flare launcher, forward pistol grip, or flash hider. The grenade launcher refers to a flash hider or muzzle break which is the proper diameter for launching old style rifle grenades. They are listing the sks rifle with this capability as a destructive device and also illegal even if it has none of the other features. Rifles are restricted to 30" minimum length.

Basically, California has banned any non-hunting style rifle. .50 bmg rifles are either registered or surrendered to the authorities to be within the law.
