How soft is the rubber surround on those things? Is it stiff or pretty cushy?

Thinking about using one for a recone but I need it to move easily. Thanks for the help.

Thanks, I was planning to do an underhung build but I need a nice soft rubber surround that will allow for a good bit of travel. I like that paper cone but I don't want the stiffness of the rubber to setup a higher resonance, or even eat into the sensitivity.
You own that driver, you like it?

I had the older aluminum cone model, I liked it, but it was hardly an SQ sub. Haha

Cool, I figured as much. I was holding out hope that the main stiffness was supplied by the spiders and the surround might be nice and soft. Thanks for the input.
