Hdc3 15 sq

Hey guys, joined the forum cause I'm getting ready to make a new system and wanted to move up from Type R's. I've got a GLX2200.1 and a truck where I fold up one seat and get about 4.5 cuft to work with. I'm wanting to get one 15" and was pretty set on the AB XFL15 but I'm wondering if the HDC3 15 would be better. I know it's more expensive but it's magnet is 50% bigger and they have the same size coil (idk if magnet weight really means crap though?). What's the sound quality like with the HDC3 subs? I know the aluminums are just for competition really but what about the copper coil subs in a ported box tuned low (maybe 30hz) for a daily setup? Thanks guys, I appreciate it.

They aren't SQ subs.. But they don't sound bad. Ive owned 3 HDC3s. I would tune higher than that though with the HDC3s.

If I had 4.5 cubes I would run 2 12"s over a single 15 any day.

I have owned one and ran it one similar tuning. The SQ is not bad per say, but it's certainly not an SQ woofer in any way, shape, or form. But it will hit very loud and very low in the right box.
