Rockford Punch Amp quality

I am going to purchase an Rockford Punch P450.4 amp and I was wondering if I would need to purchase extended warranty beyond the standard 1 year warranty. Are these amps known to have any problems assocaited with them and how is the quality?

ya man, i had a p6001bd and had my gains full tilt and ran that amp atleast 2-3 hrs a day for a year and know issues, powered my type r 15 good to......

Why did you have your gain settings so high?

usually if electronics components go bad in something then they will go bad in the first couple of months.

I don't think you'll have a problem. I jsut switched to a RF sub amp, and am waiting to get the 4channel. I love it. My gain is barely below 1/2, and that thing rocks my subs. And I don't listen to my stereo lightly, either.

I say go for it and don't worry about it.
