ROCKFORD FOSGATE subs

I have a 07 eddie bauer explorer, with a ported box 45"-wide 18"-tall 24"-deep

I have two ports 3" wide by 15" long, and I found matching vinyl to carpet it in

powered by a new Hifonics bxi2006d amp with yellow top and 0 gauge wire

very loud and suprizenly good sq

I was debating over the t2 and the l7 myself. Decided to go with the l7 and couldnt be more happy. I would love to hear a t2 in the same install that I have to compare though

i wouldnt even think about a rockford sub. the T1 and T2 are weak sauce. a 9500 or a L7 would walk all over it. the 9500 will have better SQ then the L7 and still get as loud

I personally like my 15" T1 now that I have it in a good box and powered by the right amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

Ya there might be better out there for the money but I don't see a lot of these around and the T1 is a monster sub. I also definitely prefer my T1 over my friends L7. It's slightly louder but sounds a good bit better. That could also partially be from the install, but it is just what I've experienced from hearing them both. I'm running approx. 1000 watts rms (400 watts rms over RF's recommended specs) to my T1 and its been fine for months now.

your advice always sucks man- pretty evident that you work at a shop that carries mtx, lol the mtx 9500's ive heard have all sucked bad, I dont know anyone in the competition scene running them.... t1 and t2's i havent been impressed with the t1's (only heard a few though) t2's seem to have a bunch of happy users, and the l7's are loud. out of those 3 would recommend the l7's... but overall i would try to build a new box for the l5's.... at least it's the cheapest route, so why not try it.

i think u ****, i actuly work at a shop that caries RE, US amps, Eclipse, DD and Macrom, im the only MTX "fan" at my shop, wich will soon be replace by a RE 15SR

the SQ of the L7 blows and you know it. i havent been to impressed with the T2 ive hurd, though prefab box plus DIY install could be the issue.
