type R's everyone here likes them...it really depends on how much you really want to spend...check out the classifieds you can find yourself some real nice subs for cheap...

I don't think you can go wrong with type R. Will get LOUD and sound good doing it.

i didn't think my old perfects had that much output...sounded good, but i thought it lacked output....

If your concern is SQ, get the Perfects....$180 for 2 of them shipped at Crutchfield right now...or $150 for the 10's.

type r's are going to need a little more power then the perfects.

sq wise = perfects

loud ness = type r

My last setup i used 2 infinity kappa perfect 12.1 and they sounded great but they lack output and durablility. A common problem with the perfects is the tinsel leads snap from the terminal. I am now running 2 trype r 12s and they are much louder than the perfects SQ is basically the same and they are much more durable. The type r's are a much better bargain.

2 perfect 12.1 vs 1 type R . I would go with the perfects hands down.

And people are complaining about durablity? I have had a 12.1 running for 6 years now without one problem.
