People running T1's, T2's, and L7's are not buying subwoofers for sound quality and you know it.

agreed. and you can think i ****, doesnt bother me. your the "mtx fan" as well as the "Box Builder EXTRODANER" lol, so i can about guess your level of talent, and brains for that matter. and replacing the mtx with a low level RE certianly doesnt impress me either.

note i used the quotes for the whole "mtx fan", meaning im sorta labeld that at my shop due to my selection in sub. the resone im replacing my mtx with a "low level" re is im wanting a little more SQ outta my setup. not everyone wants big SPL u know.

i think for now the SR fits the bill. i dont feel like gettin a bigger amp and re doin my wiring at the moment. i need to build another motor for my hot rod and it has priority over the system. idealy id like to get a 15" SX, and USamps XT2000D and XT800.2. but all that would be close to a grand so....... it has to wait, that and its gonna be tuff to fit the box and port needed for that sub in my truck

all of you need to stop hating on rockford fosgate. just because you have been using one prefer brand all your life. i thank kicker is good, mtx is good, and rockford fosgate is good if you have the right setup. stop talking stupid and talk with knowledge. the setup is the most important thing when it comes to subs.

the 9500 can have some decent sq as well as great spl. i've heard a couple of single 12" installs, and they on average sound great. the only one that didn't was spl all the way. tuned 50hz, and if i remember was hitting higher 140's(that 's on a a/c.) with around 1500 rms. i am not a car audio specialist, but i know what sounds good to me, and the 9500 fit the bill. not the most accurate thing by far, but is a very good sub to do both. l7 imho is just loud providing very little sq wise. but i've only heard 5 intalls, 1 was spl oriented, and the others tuned reasonable.(30-35hz). still had a hard time keeping up with much besides rap.

I dunno, I have my T1 in a 3.5 cu ft box tuned to 32 hz and it really doesnt sound bad SQ-wise even playing Avenged Sevenfold - "Sidewinder" (which if any of you know the song, is really fast rock with a lot of that double-kick bass pedals). I was surprised too cause it is a 15" sub and it is ported. Glad it retained SOME sound quality even though some of you would think otherwise I guess.

lol just kidding, but on a serious note, a lot of stupid people overpower their subwoofers, push them too hard, or install them the wrong way. Hell there are even many busted RE/Fi subs because they were pushed hard. It doesn't mean they're weak. They were just beat on really hard.
