Rockford amp or Memphis???

now because of that thread saying 2 ohm setups is a waste of money im thinking about getting a hifonics amp... the bx1000d 1000 watts rms at one ohm.

then i can run at 2 ohms w/ 500 watts rms and later if i wanna get a more powerful dvc 2 ohm sub i can run at 1000 watts rms.

do you think a 10 inch l7 ported w/ about 500 watts rms pushed to it would be louder than my bro's 2 10 inch audiobahns with his legacy 800 watt 2 channel amp.

I personnaly own a Memphis Mc1000d and a rockford fosgate 801s, i have used both of them on the same sub, and here is what i have found. Memphis's are great if you need something small. The only good thing i have found out about it is how clean it sounds with my Adire audio bhrama it is cleaner than anything i have ever heard, even eclipse subs at double the price. The Rockford Fosgate hits harder and seems to have better low end but thats because if has bass boast which if your going for spl is good but quality is decreased. overall i like the rf better just because of its higher output. but it is all up to you as a buyer.
