Rockford amp or Memphis???

I wanted to know which amp is better...

Rockford Fosgate 501BD

or

MEMPHIS 16-MC500D Mono amp

they are both 500 watts rms @ 2 Ohms mono.

I would go with the MC500D but is price is an issue I'd take the RF. I think the MC would be a better over all amp but they can be quite pricy...

I don't know, that amp is very good in my opinion. Maybe a kicker 600.1 or a pg??? Memphis has good quality stuff, you should be happy with that amp...

you can get the 16-MC500D for $209 on ebay...without the warranty ofcourse...

The memphis amp also looks nicer in my opinion and is pretty small for the power it packs...

both are great in my experiences, I love both companies, and the quality is fine on both

that memphis is nice, and very small (gotta love that). however, my local shop has had some problems with a few memphis amps, they didnt even make recommended power. they have those MC1000D's, and they do exactly what they are supposed to, but the 2 channel and 4 channel amps dont. Memphis is a great company though, they are fixing the problem right now.

its a tough choice, but i believe in memphis, i'd go for the memphis.

what about those amps compared to the jbl 600.1? I almost just want the more powerful as well as reliable amp... one i'll still have a few years down the road.

why not match it up with a kicker 600.1? kicker makes great amps, and i think theyre in the same price range as those others. as for the JBL, ive heard from peple with 1st hand experience that they are fairly unreliable

its only a ten, 600 watts should be sufficient. he wouldnt gain much by giving it a hundred more watts
