Rocker/Kill switch installation help

I have a rocker switch ready to be installed for my amp. Cops around here are d**ks.

Anyway. It has (on the switch) an "on" and "off" side. Which end should I have running to my amp and which should be connected to my head unit? Or does it even matter?

And do I connect the remote wire from the radio and wiring kit together then to the switch?

mine is connected to my remote wire wire from the deck to the top wire of the switch and the bottom wire of the switch to the amps remote

So you can cut the amp off at a moments notice I'm assuming?

That's how I do it too. Top pole from radio turn on lead, bottom to amp remote. Instant kill.

Yes that's exactly right. My rear fill is off the deck so they still play
