Road Noise

My brother's PG 200.4 has some road noise. I told him to redo his ground, and if that didn't fix, then we will try new RCA cables. He called me back like an hour later after he redid the ground, and said it is less noticable, but still there. This amp also has to inputs for batt+, neg, and rem. Only one side is hooked up. should we hook the other side up? Will it solve the road noise prob? or will redion the ground, getting monster over wally wolrd rca's, and utilizing th other input collectively fix the prob?

The amp has two power inputs? You would think you would hook up both, but thats usually for high power monoblock amps. Check your manual about that.

One thing that is usually overlooked is the HU ground. Ive done everything I could to fix that wine: new ground, RCAs, even ran the power on one side and RCAs/speaker wire on the other. I have onething left that im sure should solve the problem; the HU ground. Run a ground directly to the chassis instead of to the battery which is where most stock HU harnesses do....

By the way cheap RCAs and speaker wire along with running it parrallel with the power wire (speaker wire is fine, noise does not induce through AC and DC current) only increases the noise. Upgrading to expensive RCAs wont solve the problem, it will only mask it somewhat. You have to find the source, which can be a *****.
