Is it best to get a sub to match the RMS on an Amp

Or would getting a High quality with lesser RMS be better than a mid to mediocre higher RMS sub

IE :

AMP 300 RMS

Quality 200 RMS Sub or

Middle of the road/mediocre 300 RMS sub

read it a few time and hopefull you might be able to understand what I am trying to ask. I can see it beeing confusing

it all really depends one what you're talking about. the RMS value is just a rating. It does not tell how well the sub will perform at all.

i would bet a higher quality sub will have more truth to its' power ratings than a cheap sub.
