rms for type r 12'

that really helps.................... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
Well, if you want me to be honest your question *****. How much power the sub will handle is very install dependent. This is why in all of these "how much will my sub handle?" threads I tell every one to turn the volume down when the coil starts to smell. Real life > what people are going to say on this forum.

so for someone like me who likes to play it loud ass hell for 75% of the time, how would 1k RMS do?

You will find out what I mean.

You will be plenty loud with 1000 rms total (500 each)..if you stay at its recommended rms, those babies will last forever. I had my two type r's 12" dual 4 ohm wired to 1 ohm by my cadence txa-1000d which is a tad underrated. It was pushing out around 1200rms and they sounded great off of it.

They dont like 1000+ on full tilt for long
Real watts that is, not a 1000watt amp
kicker zx2500.1 equals real watts. and yea sometimes it gets smelly but i dont give a fvck its just till i get my 15 reconed. bought it for 30 bucks from my neighbor

thats dissapointing, I need a 1k RMS sub that can handle being played at retardedly high levels daily
Higher power doesn't always equal higher output. Some subs can get retarded loud off of low power:) Choose a sub that is closer to the rms of the amp. A true 1000w is a lot of power for a single 12" R to handle for a long period of time. For a burp it's no problem:)

No issues there. The amp will output depending on the speaker's impedance rating. Are you using a component x-over or is only the tweeter with x-over?
