Well i have come down to the decesion of these two subs both would be 12's and i would only be getting one of each. I can get both for about the same price the rl-s actually being a little cheaper. So if you had to choose which would you pick and why?

Well its a single 4 ohm because of the lmt (Linear Motor Techonology) they can only make them in single voice coils right now like the tc lms 4000 it is a single 3 ohm.

^yea... single 4 ohm? i dont get it?
Nevermind the impedance, the motor itself has some funky things going on...I don't get the attraction.

In theory it looks like an excellent sub for dipole use, but you're looking at close to a grand by the time you've bought the EQ and Xover you'd need to make it work. Not to mention the huge room you'd need to put it in.

on the soundsplinter website they say that it really only needs 6 cubes sealed to do the trick and they also say that you could go ported 3 cubes but with extremely low tuning like 19hz why is that.

I love my 15" TC-3000. 4.5 tuned to 30 = //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif :yumyum: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

Pounds out the lows like a beast.

what?

if it requires such a big box and low tuning and is single 4 ohm wouldnt that make it pretty good for home theatre

We can make duals. The 5400 is D2 and the 4k will have a D1.5 option later on.
