RL-P15's or AA Arsenal 15's

yeah, the SIN issues were pretty shady, oh well, they were a great company back in the day. Great products at a good price, they just dropped the ball, at least I got an ava before it all blew up

You can choose not to agree that those are bad business ethics.
But it tells me about the type of person those in charge at AA really are........
I agree it does look a little shady....but judging by recent experiences with the company, including my own, I still see them as a great small company...

Go with the RL-p its been tried and trued. Its good with power anywhere between 400-1000 watts. Mine is a 15", 2.3 net sealed, 500 watts.

I would never use Ascendant. I wouldnt take one for free and you couldnt pay me to use one...well you could pay me because I would probably buy another SS form mike.

To the contrary, most of the issues I was referring to weren't even in relation to his products.
The public ridicule of Adire over a statement that he took incorrectly and put words into Dan's mouth.

Then you have his disappearance from their company forum on SIN, which almost resulted in having their forum removed (they failed to post there for something like 2 or 3 months).

Then you have their failure to support SIN and live up to their end of the financial obligations for being on the forum, which resulted in a temporary suspension of their company forum.

I'm not even to any issues with customers (which are many)....simply bad business ethics.

Lastly, I haven't seen any production/sales figures from either company to try to assume which has been more busy. Some people try hard to make themselves appear to be extremely busy........Soundsplinter isn't lacking in the sales department either to my knowledge. Even then.....if you're "so busy" that you make hasty decisions, then you need to either hire more personnel or remove yourself from a position of authority, because you obviously can't handle the task. So using that for an excuse doesn't fly........
It isnt unknown that Chad used that statement as a reson to move away from XBL^2 and move into his own motor designs.

As far as SIN, the Forum turned to crap. RE doesnt answear E-Mails and you dont see people screaming bad business ethics. Adire and Incriminator are both companies which are hard to contact via phone yet i dont see them being called bad companies or being run by bad owners. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Sure there are things that could have been differently. However the way you put it, buying from Ascendant is like buying from eD... "Loosing" hundreds of amps in korea and spewing bullshit T/S parameters and running your own nazi forum because no other forum will let you on is hardly compareable to letting a forum go and using a statement as a "reason" to move away from XBL^2.

As far as i see it that was a great business decision. He can now produce similar or better quality cheaper and is making waves all over the internet with the assasin series. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Now I got one more sub to add to the list. TC Sounds TC-1000 12's, how does that stack up to the other two. I was looking for 15's but if these subs are considered a lot better I might pick those up instead. Thanks

The TC-1000 is a step below the RL-p the the TC-2000 would be the same as the RL-p. The TC-2000 and the RL-p use the same TC9 motor. I have used a RL-p 12 and it is a real nice sub.

The TC-1000 series is based off of the TC2+ motor, the same motor the Soundsplinter Rl-i uses. Great subwoofers still....but a step below the Rl-p (TC9).

my 2 cents on AA...

I recently purchased an Arsenal 12", called them up, got through on the 1st tried and spoke to Chad for bout 15 mins. Wanted to confirm some info before ordering and he provided me with the info I needed. Ordered the sub, and it arrive from where ever their warehouse is to Seattle in 4 days.

so //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif for AA with service and delivery.

As for the product? I ran into various problem trying to integrate the amp with the factory system. So right now, an arsenal 12" sitting in a 1ft^3 sealed box and havent' seen power. It sucks having the box, the sub, and can't get my freaking amp to work right. So producy review to come...

Just my experience.

i have an arsenal... i like it, its a good sub, has potential, can get pretty loud

however, I was expecting better results...

never heard rl-p...

but if i were u, TC Sound is the way to go.

if that's your truck in your sig, you don't need anything beyond a tc2+... tc2+ based drivers are seriously nothing to sneeze at...

That's my old truck that I sold about 2 months ago. Right now I'm driving a 06' Suzuki Grand Vitara which is like a small suv.
