Okay ive heard forum members rant and rave about these things. Im about ready to throw them in my buddies setup but then i start looking the frequency response shown on the site. Its much lower than what im used to, with a less than flat response than im used to seeing. Whats the deal. Everyone hypes this stuff as the heat, but even the creators cant get a flat response out of em? Whats the deal? I wanna hear em, but my rep is on the line if i recommend them and they dont turn out to be the heat. What do i need to know?

i personally loved it but i like my claw mag better

but the claw mag was more expensive so it makes sense......

i personally dont think youll be disappointed, especially with 2 12's in the right box

I'm running 2 15's in small ported box, SQ is excellent with these subs and they'll wang pretty hard if I lean on em.

I'd buy em again in a minute and actually plan to add 2 more when I get an SUV.

The Rl-p are great subwoofers. Performs well in both areas of sound quality and output.

The response graphs on the site are only to show you the differences between enclosure types/sizes. Don't expect it to resemble the in-car response as they won't even be close.

You (or your friend) won't be dissappointed with them. No, they probably won't be the loudest subs you've ever heard. Yes, there are subs out there that sound better. But the Rl-p does them both quite well in the proper enclosures.

They are worth the price, IMHO.

Not to mention Mike is one of the greatest people in the industry to deal with. Superb customer service.

Honestly the RL-p didnt impress me much by looking at the raw specs and everything. I would have to rate them as the weakest TC9 based subs out there. I have never heard one but read alot of review and it seems to be that way.

I think there are better choices for the money.

check the results from the great 12" subwoofer challenge, I think we had one there and i thought it sucked, it looks cheap too, they do overheat also if iy was the same woofer. I don't tend to keep up with products that aren't worth a shite.

Honestly I think the rl-p 12" sounds great in a ported box only heard the 15 in a sealed box. I love the sound compared to the 12w7 and 12w6. I owned then 12 and a dd3512 at the same time. The rl-p impressed more the DD sound but the DD has more authority when the bass hits low. I believe it is right along the lines with any other in it price range(my opinion).

i must say you really can't bash these subs unless you've heard one in person. just by going on specs online won't give you a really accurate view on these subs. i have a rlp 15, and it's worth every penny imo. very accurate, musical sub. plus Mike is awesome with customer service. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

SQ = 10/10

CS = 10/10

SPL = 6/10

Bang/$ = 4/10

i poped one of my $120 TSW3KSPL was just as loud if not a tad louder then my old RLP 15, both with 900rms...rlp in 3.2 @ 32, TSW in 2.4 @ 33ish...sq is a whole different story though...

if you're just out for sq with some output, they're probably worth the money, if you're looking for a great bang for the buck and more spl, these are definitely not the sub for you...
