Rims or system?

I say keep the system...

I would much rather be in a sub-par looking car with a killer system, then a nice car with silence...

Anyway, whats your current setup that you could sell for about $1700

I have two brand new 15" Kicker L7s that my friend offered me $500 for, plus my Orion amp $450, then I have near another $500 saved. Then I'll just work for the rest.

Good point. 1 of my friends told me to let the rims wait if anything add some nice chrome door handles and chrome mirrors for some little looks and stick with my system/upgrading it, since people in school already know me for having a system. He said the car is already nice as it is. Give it alot of BASS

get some 22's with the spokes going to the lip if possible..theyd look lik 23's so you wouldnt notice and ud still have ur system AND you wouldnt be adding more shiznit for ur motor to pull..cuz im pretty sure 24's are 40+lbs each..

So? I think the car could pull it fine its a 300hp V8 engine. I do plan on adding HP mods to the engine in the future after im satisfied with the looks and audio.

My opinion:

1) Thank your parents for either buying, or helping you purchase a newer Expedition if you havent done so already.

2) Like everyone else here I say trade the 24's for a set of 22's with tires and keep the boom. Hell, run with 22's and get a lowering kit (like a 2/4). The rims dont seem as "small" that way.

3) Get a better job, or another one, and keep the 24's.

i say continue with the system, and dont put the rims on untill after winter. even if you had the tires, ide still say wait for the shitty season to be over. rain and shit = dirty bad looking rims you have to clean every other day to look nice.

ohh and dont let people give you shit about the size. if you went with 22s you would have to lower your car to make up for the fender gap, which is why 22s look small on suvs. im guessing your not planning on dropping it at all.

I personaly would keep the system n just save more for the tires. Then when ya get the tires ya. have a sweet lookin ride and an even better sounding one.

Well he lives in florida so he dosent have to wait for the season to be over. Personally though I think that anyone spending 1700 bucks on there tires is off there rocker. Now doing like 5000 in a system then I would say kickass system. So on that note do the system. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
