Right tweeter is acting up.

I have 140 rms rated 2ways hooked up to 50 rated amp, I know, I know. I tried to keep my gains down, but still listened to music real loud REAL loud. Now every time there is bass notes in music my tweeter starts to static. I am guessing it is blown? Confirmation would be awsome. And futur tips for prevention as well.

May not be blown, although possible. Just to clarify your speakers are rated at 140 and amp at 50? And your keeping the gains Down?
