Right to a Speedy Trial

Well I have several ways to discredit the officer that issued the citation. But I was reading through a site and it mentioned the speedy trial thing, and I noticed my court date was more then 45 days. So I was thinking that if anybody really knows about it, and it can be defined, then there is no point in working further on my defense. Otherwise, I will continue building my defense to beat the ticket. Seems nobody really knows much about the subject, it's all just speculation.

Criminal:

Someone who has committed (or been legally convicted of) a crime

Crime:

(criminal law) an act punishable by law; usually considered an evil act

Law:

The collection of rules imposed by authority

Speeding is a law, and still falls under being a criminal if you break that law. Might not be a serious law or a serious criminal for breaking it, but it would still be considered a criminal.
