Right ohms for amp

My buddy is going to be getting a JL amp, that runs at 1000w at 1 ohm, and 750 at 2 ohm. He will be getting a 12 inch cvx that runs at 750rms, so we were wondering which sub to get. A 2 ohm dvc (to run at 1 ohm) or a 4 ohm dvc (to run at 2 ohm).
