Right Enclosure?

pretty small for some 12 Type Rs... Whats the tuning?

no idea what the tuning is. that was a huge mistake i made. any way i could figure that out

if you still have the box plans or maybe just with the exact specs (dimensions, port length, etc) a box builder could probably go over them and tell ur the specs of it.

most likely 40-45 Hz tuning. I hope you have a ssf. Its amazing how many minor things are made seem like some major gigantic features on some of these prefab boxes

Sub Sonic Filter. In a ported box, frequencies below the tuning will mess the sub up. A sub sonic filter stops these low frequencies from playing. In your case, u bought a prefab box which says "High SPL Bass SYSTEM" which most likely means it is tuned to about 45hz. Alot of music will go below 45 hz. So yes you will be fuct pretty easily with out a ssf.

But in my oppinion, I would try to sell this box that you bought and build your own. Or pay someone to build you one. At least 4.4 cubes before displacement and tuned to about 29-34hz.

I would also suggest you speak with Spkrman.
