right box for 2003 model L5 12s

i'm trying to decide what type of box to use for my two L5 12s. i listen to everything from rap to jazz. i know that a ported box will be a lot louder, but sound quality won't be that great. is there a ported box design that will still have the sound quality to listen to jazz.? will it be a big sacrifice in output to use a sealed box? please help. i don't know which route to take.
