Power demand / a system to large for it's charging system will not be helped by a cap. A cap is to be used with a system that has a charging system capable of keeping up with the electrical demands. A cap helps with transients in music and has to be able to react lightning fast, caps that react slow are worthless and act like a tiny half @ssed battery doing pretty much nothing.

Only reason I ever use a cap is just if it has a voltage readout....and I just use it for that. anybody who does any real SPL numbers doesnt invest in caps....if they did, kinetik would sell caps too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

You'd be better off just using a plain old voltage gauge... less resistance added to the circuit.

Caps are great for tweeters. I have 10F on my tweeter amp. I hit higher highs with them. LOL.

The caps in the Grand National that started the whole cap craze were there as power supply filters not to add usable current.
