RF remote gain...

i got a RF remote gan with 2 knobs on it, db and fz

so after having for serveral months and never tried using it....i plugged it in tonight to see if i'd prever to raise and lower my subwoofer level using the knob instead of the controls on my deck... to my suprise, it did nothing, even though the power light is on.

so my question is: do i need to put my rca's for my subs into my rear set on my deck to use the RF remote gain?

all equipment is in my sig.

I wouldn't think you would have to switch the RCA's, sounds like it should work to me. Could be wrong though.

well perhaps it's the gain knob itself....i turned off the xover for the subs on my deck, i still have a sub volume controls on the deck -6 -- +6, maybe i'm missing something....

hopefully someone who has a similar deck / amp can chime in.

hey i have a p400.2 the bass knob only takes over as the control nob on the actual amp, so the hu shouldn't have any affect ....or at least in my case

Sounds like a remote bass boost knob, not a remote gain...

remote bass boost knobs have a fz knob and a db knob?

Well it sounds like you can adjust the dB boost and at what frequency, so it seems like a bass boost knob to me. Gain knob usually has Min/Max or something like that...
