Rockford Fosgate recommends a sealed enclosure at 2.5 cubes, and a ported enclosure, also at 2.5 cubes, with a 4" round port, 8" long, which is supposedly tuned at 35hz. That port seems quite small to me.

This is going to be a daily setup in the truck of my 2008 Subaru WRX, running off of a single Rockford Fosgate BD1000a1 amplifier, that pushes 1188 watts at 2 ohms.

What do you guys recommend for a box with this single 15? I am not so much concerned with SPL, but more for clarity, so I don't want it to be too unresponsive.

I have the exact same sub and the OM recommends between 3.5 - 4.5 cubes for the 15" with 4 4" round ports (50sq inches).

And another thing... don't expect clarity from this sub in my experience it is made just to get LOUD not to sound anything near good.

i got mine in 3.9 ish cubes tuned to 32
