This is a setup I had years ago. I would just be careful about phasing issues !

Not just phasing issues, if those share the same airspace, you fvcked up. "air pressure differentials."

Nothing will change. The only difference will be the net displacement of the enclosure obviously because the subs take up space inside the box when mounted normally so take that into condsideration. Wire them as you normally would and you will be fine.
