reverse mounting subs???

okay a friend of mine has a couple audiobahn 12s right? And the basket on em is chromed out and everything so they would look good on the inside ya know, an i was wonderin bout it. If you were to mount them bad boys with the magnet end pointin outside the box instead of inside of it what would it do? Would there be so much air pressure inside that box that it would just blow apart or would it ruin the speaker itself? Ive heard that playing a sub under normal working power while its not installed inside a box could potentially blow the sub. Is that true??

as long as one side of the sub is in the box it will be fine,,,free airing it will kill it though

if all your doing is inverting the subs then the only noticable difference will be box volume
