reveiw of my 40 dollar comp set

first off they're Powerbase B series components paid around 37 sumthin for them off of ebay and they're accually not that bad i've had type S coaxials and type S components in my truck before and these components are by far the better by and THEY'RE CHEAPER....the tweeter is very smooth, the midrange/midbass is very clean, its lacks a little in midbass but still very clean...i havent amped them yet this is just off of my headunit...not a bad budget comp set for those looking to spend less than 50 bucks....this is the auction of where i bought mine.

they definatly are NOT the same set that is in the pic....the crossover is completely different, its a see through green sorta deal, the midbass is black with a carbon fiber style cone...

EDIT: just relized i received the chrome series insted of the black series pictured in the auction

its the best 37 dollars i've ever spent

im definatly not through with these comps yet, im gonna amp them tomarrow whenever i get all my equipment in and see how they sound in my doors

Powerbase makes some nice shit.Their comps. are def. good for the money.

i guess since all the companies that carry the cheap brands (legacy and friends) carry powerbass, they arent getting the credit they deserve.

i just like how they sent me the chrome series insted of the black series...the chrome series looks way better lol the black series looks kindof cheap (well of course 37 bucks) but still

off brands can offer alot more bang for the buck...

Powerbase is a smaller brand compared to Alpine,Pioneer etc

and it doesnt surprise me that a 40.00 off brand comp can sound better than

a big name comp at triple the price.....Retailers eat your hearts out...

I am all about that sorta stuff

if only they could be mounted coaxialy (if thats a word), id be all over them.

Im Tempted to try those PG Xennon Comps because they are on ebay for under 100$, i wonder how these compare?

i was referring to comps that can have the Tweet mounted on the Woofer, like with coaxial speakers.
