results of power wire being to small?

as far as prices for smaller stuff goes, just look on the forum...people list stuff for pretty cheap. I found a 1/0 gauge ANL fuse holder for only 10 bux shipped. Just keep an eye out. And I didn't know you needed so much wire (didn't know the car it was going in). So yeah if you buy new from Knu it'll cost about 30 plus shipping. Or you might be able to find it a lil cheaper maybe 30 or 25 shipped from someone on the forum. Search around then post a WTB thread.

Lolz.... anyways, isn't the fuse, when of proper size, supposed to heat up and melt before the actual wire?

Just some follow up...

4awg wire is capable of around 100amps x 12volts = 1200 watts

0awg wire off knuKonceptz im getting is 250 amps x 12volts = 3000 watts

(im going with a 200 amp fuse though)

being soo, this means between my 2000 watt hifonics and my cheap baja1000, my amps arent getting more then 1/2 of what they deserve....

tell me this, even though they are getting 13-14 volts, does this mean they are getting enough amperage? Someone enlighten me... or when the amperage isnt strong enough, the voltage dips down with it..?

my voltage meter seems to remain stable on my 3 farad cap, but it might be faulty.
