Another good point . It doesn't always help . //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yep. See people make mosaics on counter tops, then cover them in the casting resin a lot. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Yup. I covered my Tiki bar top in it after placing random beach pictures, shells, and colored glass on it. It cost me like $60 for a 2 gallon kit. Definitely not meant for the OPs application.

OT: that bar=teh secks.

whats the point of resin in an enclosure? smoother surface= better soundstage for waves to bounce off of instead of being absored?

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif more better reasonin' is for sealed type boxes to make sure there aint no air leakums! LOL! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

actually-- some believe in the regidity it adds, there is lots of reasons...if you are doing it to brace a box use 1 1/2" dowels inside instead. Fiberglass doesn't have as much strength on a flat surface as is does on a curve, so I guess I dont know! LOL!

The enclosure itself , basically to seal it up . The port ............... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Resin is used in SPL applications to smooth out the airflow inside/outside a box. Smoother airflow generally ='s higher dB's. But that is not always the case. I have personally used resin in some boxes and gained a few tenths, and i've seen others lose.
