Reputable small form factor (< 18" length) monoblock amp?

Hello,

I've purchased a 330A alternator and am going to purchase an AGM31 so should be good to almost 5kW RMS. I've pretty much decided on the Fox Acousics box for my regular cab Ram, and the amp rack area is 18" x 13.25". I'm trying to find the best bang for the space, so to speak. I was looking at the Brazilian amps but see that in general they don't like vibration and advise against mounting on the box itself, due to the single large transformer on the board. That's a bummer because pretty much all of their big boy amps fit in the available space I have. Am I indeed stuck with 2kW amps, or is there another non-Brazilian option that I've overlooked? I'm not really keen on 'rolling my own' with the box or paying for a custom solution, unless someone knows someone in the DFW area that can do it at a reasonable price.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I have a stetsom 5K I'm ready to install. It has a small footprint. 11.5 by 12.5 so you should be good

Ok I read that wrong. I've seen people use isolation mounts or strips of rubber to help with vibration. Any way you can mount it under the seat ?

I could chance it and try a rubber pad, which would mitigate some (enough?) I just haven't seen these stories of people doing this with success (any links?) I looked before, and the amp height is 75mm = 3". I thought 'no way' when I eyeballed it before, but looked under the drivers seat just now with a tape measure and there may actually be > 3" of clearance there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/suave.gif.858fc102f7646e678ee8af7e1fbc41d1.gif Not my ideal install, but it seems like this may work.

My old 3K3 was rated at 3900 1 ohm at 14.4 and that was thinner. I believe the taramps are not as thick from what I remember I'll see what my buddy's is hight wise he has the 8K.

Mount the amp to the back wall of the cab above the box?
Well, I know you've had this box before per a previous post from you. Is there indeed enough room above the box? Fox Acoustics simply does not respond to emails (grrrr), so I can't get any info from them about top of box to window clearance.

More Brazilian stuff. Not saying that it's bad, but I see a lot of gripes about them (vibration, going poof at Mmats then.http://m.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-MMATS-2000W-1ohm-CLASS-D-AMPLIFIER-FREE-SHIPPING-/252795334243?nav=SEARCH

2 of these or maybe a hd4000
