Replacing subwoofers

OK so I was wondering if I replaced my type-r with something more capable of handling power will I notice a difference?? Right now I have two playing off 1500 watts and they take it no problem but will I notice a difference if I upgraded to subwoofers that are ment to handle 1500 watts. Im also in the market of trying to find a AQ2200 or something in that range if I can find a good price. Also with 3.5cu of space what 2 12s would you guys recommend for 2000 watts? I was really interested in seeing how the SA-12s handle 1k watts a peice but idk. If i can get something that will sound better point me in the right direction..

nevermind, ive decided to go with some DC level 4s and hopefully I can get my hands on a AQ soon....
